TUV compost INDUSTRIAL certified products are guaranteed to be biodegradable in an industrial composting plant.
In order for a product to obtain OK compost industrial certification, it must pass four tests:
- Biodegradation test (chemical degradation of the fiber polymer).
- Disintegration test (physical breakdown of the product into small fragments).
- Ecotoxicity test (testing whether the composted product exerts no adverse effect on plants).
- Heavy metal content test.
